Some of the Projects Spearheaded by Emma
BORDER BELLES CHARITY CALENDAR FOR HEREFORDSHIRE MIND (2024)
|
Emma's largest choir, Border Belles, a women’s mental health choir based in Ross-on-Wye, spent 2024 putting together a charity calendar project in aid of Herefordshire Mind, which raised an impressive £9,320.37!
In a bold and powerful show of solidarity, 50 choir members bared all for mental health awareness, creating a striking 2025 nude calendar inspired by the iconic 2003 film Calendar Girls. The project was designed to promote the message that it’s okay to be vulnerable and embrace your true self. Through this initiative, the choir wanted to shine a light on the importance of mental wellbeing. |
SING OUT STRONG VIRTUAL CHOIR (2020-NOW)

"I've been Waiting" is an original song written by Emma for the Sing out Strong Global Choir in lockdown. Singers from all around the world were invited to share what it was that they had been waiting to do after lockdown was over. The responses were emotional and brave.
This video was featured by the BBC as part of the UK's re-opening after the first 2020 lockdown, and Emma was interviewed by Victoria Derbyshire about her work with the choir throughout the pandemic. |
