Every Voice Belongs: An Introduction to Inclusion & Mental Health in Choirs

A practical 2-hour online training for choir leaders who want to support their singers’ wellbeing and build inclusive, welcoming choirs.
Join me, Emma Rowland-Elsen, for a specialist 2-hour training that helps choir leaders create inclusive, mentally-healthy choirs, where every voice belongs.
EMMA ROWLAND-ELSEN
SPECIALIST CONSULTANT IN CHOIR INCLUSION AND MENTAL HEALTH

Why this Training Matters:

Choirs are powerful spaces - they bring joy, belonging, and connection.  But too often, singers are left without support when it comes to mental health, accessibility, or feeling included.

If you’ve ever thought...
  • “I know I should be doing more for my singers’ wellbeing…”
  • “I want to make rehearsals more accessible, but don’t know where to start…”
  • “What if someone struggles in choir - how do I help, without overstepping?”
  • "Carrying the emotional weight of a choir is a lot!  Help!"
...then this training is for you.

What you'll Learn:

  • How to spot when a singer may be struggling, and know what to do next.
  • Simple adaptations for neurodivergent and disabled singers.
  • How to create a safe, welcoming culture where every voice belongs.
  • How to respond if someone begins a tricky conversation with you.
  • How to support your singers without burning yourself out.

What's Included:

  • A live 2-hour online workshop (via Zoom).
  • A downloadable Inclusive Practices Checklist ready to use in rehearsals.
  • Practical strategies you can put into practice straight away.
  • Space for questions and discussion with other choir leaders.

Who it's For:

This is foundation-level training with no previous experience needed.

Perfect, if you’re:
  • Leading a community choir or vocal group.
  • Working with singers of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
  • Wanting to take your first step into making your choir more mentally healthy and inclusive.
